Hi! I'm Genevieve and my first solo baking experience was at the age of
8 when I made a delicious Brazo de Mercedes! It's a meringue roll with a
luscious custard filling. From that time on I became fascinated with cakes and
desserts my family prepared for special celebrations. I grew up with the
creamiest leche flan, homemade delicious butter cream for cakes and sans rival,
mouth watering pineapple upside down cake...mmm...I can go on and on.
Later in my teen life, my sister enrolled at the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School
in Manila and I noticed that the more she baked goodies such as sylvannas,
cheesecakes, crema de fruta or mocha cake, the more I was enthralled with
baking and cake decorating. With all the inspiration from my family back home,
I pursued my passion in creating delicious, homemade and beautiful cakes.
I finished my Master of Arts in Education in the Philippines and currently a
substitute instructor at the University of Winnipeg ELP Program. With my
passion for cake, I took baking and cake decorating courses from A. Carbungo,
Chef Annie Lim and Heny Sison all of whom are renowned pastry chefs and
culinary school owners in the Philippines. I also had the opportunity to work
with my long time cake mentor from Australia & took a short baking class in
Berkeley California.
I've always received excellent compliments from my multi-cultural clients may
it be a birthday, anniversary, wedding, 18th birthday, VIP or corporate cake
order.
I am very proud of my Filipino heritage, amazing, rich and
a conglomeration of cultures. Just like my cakes and pastries, amazingly
delicious rich in flavour and culturally diversified.
Delicious quality home made cakes can still be affordable with my creations. So
